Our reef system is thriving in a world where many reefs are dying. Sharing these wonders brings joy and fosters a lifelong love for kai (ocean).
All our dives are from shore. Most of Hawai'i's dive sites can easily be reached by giant stride off the aina (land). Keeping our divers safe is of utmost importance. Diving in Hilo has challenges; temperature, visibility, current, etc. With constant training and a healthy respect for kai, our dives are some of the best around.

Our Story
Discover the Difference
Hilo Scuba Diving, located in Hilo, Hawaii, was founded by two passionate instructors dedicated to providing exceptional scuba diving experiences.
We dive all the time, looking for new sites no one else is on. During our surface intervals, we'd discuss the opportunity of starting our own operation. Over the years and over many dives, our ideas coalesced around the ease of shore diving in Hilo.
Our passion for wai (water) runs deep. Both of us have a deep entrepreneurial spirit, as well. It wasn't enough to be enjoying the wonders ourselves. The experience needed to be shared.
Hilo is unique in Hawai'i. It's off the beaten path and not thought of as "the diving destination". The reef system isn't crowded and the life is diverse. Hawaiian Culture is strong in Hilo. Over a thousand years of history is at our feet.
